Junko Adachi, MS
Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, IMF68021
Berkeley Office | 888-637-7404 Ext. 58
Welcome. I help people heal their emotional wounds and transform their lives for the better.
After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from University of California at Berkeley, I worked as a research assistant. There I had the opportunity to work closely with families of dementia patients. From this experience I had found my passion, my life’s calling and I went on to get a Master’s Degree in Counseling from San Francisco University, specialized in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Through education, internship, and work, I have been helping youth and adults in an in-patient center, school settings, and in office since 2009.I provide therapy and counseling to people of diverse backgrounds dealing with abuse, addiction, anger/stress management, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and multi-generational conflicts. I have experience working with co-parenting couples and Victim of Crime (VOC) eligible individuals.
My personal acculturation process has taught me to be culturally sensitive in my practice, and I am truly compassionate about helping people.
I am also the mother of a toddler and a weekend runner.
