I enjoy working collaboratively with individuals, couples and families to help them grow beyond old, dysfunctional relational patterns and to recognize behaviors that are no longer working in order to explore new options for living, loving and relating. I see this as a developmental process that takes place in the context of an ongoing dynamic relationship that therapist and client build together which empowers the client and frees creative energies. I enjoy working with people of all ages and utilize an eclectic approach informed by relational, psychodynamic and somatic approaches. I utilize non-directive play therapy that incorporates both expressive arts and sand tray in my work with children. I earned an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Holy Names University and received a certificate in relational therapy from the Women’s Therapy Center. I also have extensive experience helping men and women toward recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. |
