Keenan Nelson-Barer, AMFT # 132101 (He/Him)
“Life doesn’t make any sense without interdependence. We need each other, and the sooner we learn that, the better for us all.” -Erik Erikson My name is Keenan Nelson-Barer and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) Trainee. I have always enjoyed helping others and wanted to become a therapist after my own positive experiences with therapy. I know that asking for help is difficult, but congratulations, you are taking the first step. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, there are a lot of individuals finding themselves in situations they have never been in before, and I am here to help and discuss anything at all.
I attended National University (formally John F. Kennedy University) for the past two years, where I learned various theories and ways to help people through therapy. I feel strongly about creating a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients since I understand that life is complex. I am ready for any situation and I look forward to supporting you in the future. Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic all sessions will be via video conferencing. Keenan Nelson-Barer is supervised by Stephen Polin, LMFT #7861
