We're glad to introduce Anne Martin (pronounced Annie), a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee who has joined Oak Creek Relational Counseling Center offering hybrid in-person and telehealth therapy for adults, couples, teens, families, and groups throughout California. Anne works with people navigating relationships and life transitions — and with parents of neurodivergent kids who are still trying to find their footing. Getting to Know Anne Anne is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee practicing under the supervision of Stephen Polin, LMFT #7861. She holds a B.A. in Liberal and Civic Studies from Saint Mary's College of California (2010) and an M.A. in Education from the University of California, Davis (2012), and is completing an M.A. in Counseling at Saint Mary's College of California, expected in 2027. Before her clinical training, Anne spent many years as a middle school teacher — work that shaped how she thinks about change. She saw firsthand how much a collaborative, caring relationship can matter to someone in the middle of a hard transition, and that conviction carries directly into how she runs a session. Her approach is client-driven and grounded in person-centered therapy. She views therapy as a space where individuals and couples can learn to self-advocate and work toward their goals without judgment. From there she brings in CBT when practical skills would help with anxiety or low mood, mindfulness for clients whose distress shows up in the body, and existential work for the questions that surface around significant transitions — coupling, parenthood, mid-life, and the end of a career. Anne also has experience with neurodivergent children, specifically those with ADHD and autism diagnoses, and works with parents raising them. She provides therapy in English. Who Anne Works With
In Anne's Words "I believe that therapy is an ideal space for individuals and couples to learn to self-advocate and reach their individual and interpersonal goals without judgement. While my work is always client-driven, I utilize CBT and existentialism to help clients find relief and explore life's biggest questions."
