Julie Beach, Trainee (She/Her)
Hello, I'm Julie Beach, a Marriage and Family Therapy student intern at Oak Creek Relational Counseling Center in Pleasant Hill, supervised by Steven Polin, LMFT.
If you're reading this, you might be carrying a lot—maybe it's anxiety, relationship tension, old trauma that's still affecting your day-to-day, or just the weight of trying to keep it all together. You don't have to do it alone. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, feel heard, and sort through what's going on with care and intention. Before I became a therapist, I spent nearly two decades as a paramedic and peer support provider, working closely with first responders and veterans. I understand what it's like to be in high-pressure roles where pushing through becomes the norm. I also know the toll that takes, and how hard it can be to ask for support. My style is collaborative, honest, and focused on supporting you in your process. I pull from trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and attachment-based therapy to help individuals, couples, and families. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the people you love—or even from yourself—we'll work together to make sense of it and move toward something more grounded and connected. You don't need to have it all figured out or know exactly what to say. Just showing up is enough. I'll be right there with you. Julie Beach is supervised by Stephen Polin, LMFT #7861 |
