Work With Us

Build your clinical career at Oak Creek.

Oak Creek Relational Counseling Center has been training the next generation of therapists for over 30 years. We offer a supportive, structured environment where trainees and associates develop their clinical voice, deepen their relational skills, and build toward private practice — on their own terms.

Weekly Supervision

Multiple group supervision sessions each week, with individual supervision available on request. You're never navigating client work alone.

Private Practice Prep

We offer a unique program designed to prepare you for private practice once you're licensed — not just hours accumulation, but real professional development.

Individualized Support

We support the passions and goals of each clinician — helping you build a practice that reflects who you are and the community you want to serve.

Application Status

Current openings.

⚠ Trainee Positions — Fall 2026 Quota Reached

We have reached our trainee quota for the rest of 2026 and will not be accepting additional trainee applications for the Fall 2026 cohort. We are honored by the level of interest and look forward to future openings. Associate positions may still be available — see below.

Application Tracks

Two paths — one community.

Whether you're currently enrolled in a master's program or already registered with the BBS, there's a place for you at Oak Creek. Here's what each track requires.

Trainee Position

Currently Enrolled in MA/MS Program

Trainees are currently enrolled in an accredited master's program in clinical counseling, social work, or a related field. You must be registered and in good standing with the BBS, or be a new MA/MS graduate applying within the BBS 90-day window. A LiveScan background check is required.

To apply, send the following to [email protected]:

  • Unofficial transcripts
  • Letter of intent — including your answer to: "What can I offer my community?"
  • Current résumé
  • Approximate date you would want to begin practicum
Note: Fall 2026 trainee positions are currently full. You're welcome to submit materials to be considered for future openings.

Associate / Intern Position

Post-Graduate, BBS Registered

Associates have completed their master's degree and hold a current registration number with the California BBS in good standing (AMFT, APCC, or ASW). If you meet this requirement, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply, send the following to [email protected]:

  • Letter of intent — including your answer to: "What can I offer my community?"
  • Current résumé
  • Estimated date you would want to start

Once You Join

What to expect as a member of the Oak Creek team.

BBS Supervision Hours

You'll meet your required BBS supervision hours each week based on the number of clients you see. Supervision is structured, consistent, and built into your weekly schedule.

Monthly Team Meetings

All therapists attend a monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of each month — a dedicated time for community, learning, and collaboration across the team.

Group Therapy Participation

Trainees and associates participate in and help organize group therapy sessions — excellent clinical experience and a meaningful contribution to the community we serve.

Clinic Administration

Beyond client sessions and paperwork, each clinician takes on a small administrative task to help keep the clinic running smoothly — watering plants, maintaining shared spaces, and so on.

Available Group Supervision Sessions

  • Tuesday · 9:00am – 11:00am
  • Thursday · 6:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Friday · 8:30am – 10:30am
  • Friday · 4:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Saturday · 8:30am – 10:30am

The Interview

Getting to know each other.

Interviews are conducted online and are designed to be a genuine two-way conversation. We want to make sure Oak Creek is a strong fit for you — and that you're a strong fit for us. We look for clinicians who are curious, community-minded, and committed to the work.
