Thank you for visiting my profile!

My name is Sara Mauricio. It is an honor and privilege to work with my clients on their journey of re-discovering who they truly are and taking small steps to live that out more fully. I am known by clients, colleagues and friends to be empathic, down-to-earth, understanding, non-judgmental, intuitive and passionate. These characteristics, paired with my lived experience, are what help to guide me through collaborative work with my clients. I have been driven since my teenage years to lighten others’ suffering, discover& highlight innate strengths, direction, purpose, and facilitate
re-connection with life-force energy, vision, spontaneity, and play.

I like to incorporate many mediums of therapy in my work inspired by initial person-centered & strength-based therapy which includes but is not limited to: expressive art & movement, play, music, somatic, eco-therapy, archetype, meditation, spirituality & shamanic drum work.

I have worked with couples, adolescents, families & adults, dealing with a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to more significant trauma and mental health symptoms.

Right now, my focus is on working with children, adolescents and teens, couples & families though I do have some openings for adult individuals. I am open, affirming and appreciate all cultures, sizes, ethnic and spiritual backgrounds and beliefs, gender identification, expression and sexual orientations.

Thank you for reading and I do hope to talk with you soon! Please don’t hesitate to send me an email or give me a call to schedule an appointment and start working together. =)

Our therapists place a high value on the dignity and worth of all people. We embrace the richness brought by identities and expressions at the intersections of ethnicity, race, nationality, sexual/affectional orientation, gender, size, age, physical and mental abilities, religion/spirituality, socioeconomic status, and immigration status. We also recognize the immense impact that systemic racism and oppression have on mental health and well-being. In this spirit, we strive to foster cultural humility through ongoing training and professional development.
